STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

The Zebulon Elementary Gifted and Talented Magnet Counseling Program, when fully implemented will provide:

bbb1. a school counseling program that reaches the needs of 100% of the student population
bbb2. a comprehensive approach to school counseling based on stated goals and related student competencies
bbb3. services to students based on data that indicate specific needs
bbb4. counseling services that meet the academic, personal/social and career development needs of all students bbbbbthrough cooperative efforts: working with administrators, staff members, support personnel, parents, the bbbbbCounseling and Student Services Department, and the community

To promote the success of all students through the implementation of counseling activities that foster student academic, career and personal/social development. This will be facilitated by continuous conjunction with, and the support of, school staff, families, and supportive community resources.
